About Me

I’m a Christ follower, a wife, a teacher, and a future foster momma. This blog was created to document our journey to become foster parents. My husband and I have been married for a little under two years. We started praying about growing our family through pregnancy and we just knew that we were called to something different. My hope and prayer is that our journey can help or inspire someone else’s.

  1. Thanks for following my blog. I would be interesting to see the chronicles of a family progressing to becoming foster parents and what those experiences are like. One thing. You might want to put some sort of summary of who you are and why you’re blogging on this “About” page. Especially as your blog posts grow to be tens and then hundreds, it will give readers a quick snapshot of you.

  2. Dear Jamie, I work for a Christian nonprofit that not only helps children during darkest days by giving them a residential home, but we also do foster care for children who desperately need a Christian based home. God will bless you and your husband in ways you never thought possible- in some ways you will feel like you are going to hopefully be a blessing for a child, but they end up blessing your lives more than you ever imagined. God will bless you for stepping out in faith! Thank you for joining my blog..would love to hear from you!

  3. Hi! A friend of mine sent me a link to your blog! I’m a single foster mom in Baltimore County and am involved with a non profit and we are just launching a foster care ministry including a sharing closet!! I was wondering if you’d like to meet up for coffee and chat sometime? My email address is marcyk9978@gmail.com 🙂
